Rules

  • 15 Competitors per category

  • One song, no mixes. No introductions. No Fusions of music.

  • Max time: solo 1:30 minutes, Couple 2 minutes

  • These are open categories, there are no limits on tricks or lifts within the routine.

  • ALL COMPETITORS MUST BE REGISTERED BY JULY 25th at 11:59PM

       

      Judging Rubric 

     All judges are judging out of 100 points.

  • Timing & Rhythm 30 points (Bachata is clear and timing in consistent through the entirety of the routine) Mark 4 & 8, start on 1

  • Execution & Technique 30 points (Body movement, core movement, "sabor of the dance" execution of element with proper technique: ex: leap/jumps should have pointed toes, extension of arms, etc.)

  • Creativity 30 points : The use and presentation of original ideas within the routine.

  • Including musicality. Incorporating musicality within your movement. Originality: brings something new and innovative to the stage. Presentation: costume, hair, make up. Stage Presence: Energy, confidence, connection with crowd

  • Overall: 10 points overall impression of the routine\
